A Short Note on Religion

Today I went to a Mosque in Muscat, Oman.

I had been in a Mosque before, in Abu Dhabi and both are beautiful monuments!

Both are beautiful monuments to Faith and Prayer.

The difference is this time we were invited for tea and dates and we were given the opportunity to ask a few questions.

We got beautiful, meaningful answers, involved in an unusual at ease feeling.

The sense you get is that of an empowered woman who made a choice and remained true to it.

She believes in it. She acts upon it. It’s her choice.

And it’s a choice of Love. I confirmed what I already knew. Religion is not about an imposition.

It’s about a driving force. It’s about Faith. It’s about Spirit.

We are given a brain with thinking ability.

We are given a heart with feeling ability.

We are given a body with physical ability.

We are complete.

And it’s up to us to decide who we want to be.

How we want to act.

What do we want to define us?

What’s our purpose?

What’s keeping us from achieving it?

Are we the best version of ourselves?

Do we want to be the best version of ourselves?

How can we bring harmony between what we think and how we act?

How can one live up to the expectation of oneself?

All of these (un)answered questions require an internal job. This needs to be about self awareness and self analysis. Regardless of what you are taught, keep your spirit alive and allow it to take the lead.

Yes, the power of Prayer is Hope.

But in the end, you are your own vessel.

Listen carefully and learn from others but don’t ever forget the power of your own voice.

And if you have one, you know Who to thank for that.

Use it. For the Good.

The idea behind this page is to share my opinion and experience in what seems to be a crazy world nowadays. I look at myself, my friends and acquaintances and hear so many different, yet similar stories… of our search for Love, disappointments, insights. I wanted to share them! Considering cultural differences some adjustments had to be made. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
