One of the highlights of my NYC solo trip was definitely the TOP OF THE ROCK!

The view from the top of Rockefeller Center was simply astonishing…

All of Manhattan right there before my eyes!

I stayed there from 5:30pm onwards because a friend of mine had told I couldn’t miss the sunset. She just forgot to mention the sunset would be around 9:30, summer time 🙄

So I waited…. and waited… until finally the sun decided to set… and these pictures try to capture the beauty of it but it’s impossible.

It’s breath taking (much like Dubai, you need to stop and stare to fully grasp your surroundings)!

The photos can’t show the colors, can’t show the way buildings reflect the light as the day turns into night!

It was simply a privilege to see.

It was magical!

I might post a few more (or a lot more!) pictures of my trip because there were so many important and meaningful moments that I’d love to share!!

Plus when you’re by yourself you have too much time to think…

I thought: “what am I doing here by myself?”

“Why did I come alone if this is something I wanted to share so badly with someone?”

And ultimately I found my own answer…

I’ve done it because Life provided me with the opportunity to do it at that time. Not before, not after. I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it later on. So I took it. And I thank the people who incentivized me going alone. I thank them for giving me that chance.

Exactly one year ago I was in the middle of my trip to New York!

What an adventure!

I went solo on this one and I remember how terrified I was of traveling alone.

I felt it was something I had to do and I’ve done it.

At the end of the day, I felt safe and not lonely as there were so many tourists traveling on their own!

But what I remember the most was the feeling of overcoming a fear.

A feeling of independence, true freedom and empowerment which changed the way I saw myself.

I haven’t traveled by myself since then but I think I’d do it again.

Although I did love everything I learned, I’d love to go back in good company to share the few things I haven’t done on my own.

The city’s atmosphere is just amazingly insane!

You can see the history in the buildings, you’re taken to the movies you watched and “see” them happening there.

I would say I didn’t completely fall in love with traveling alone but I definitely fell in love with New York!

Regarding the lone traveling… I definitely think at some point everyone should do it, even if just for a week, somewhere they feel safe.

It’s a life lesson.

I would love to see how words can translate into colors and shapes… I would love to see how you translate the idea of Love into a blank canvas.

Love in its purest and most sincere form.

Untainted.

Pain free love.

Unconditional, open, promising love.

The first love.

The truest one, undamaged by the following learnings.

The peace you felt, your safe haven.

The fireworks of raw Passion making you feel Alive.

The overwhelming feeling.
