Half as Whole

I wonder if this is the reason… 🤔

Some people tell me women nowadays are too strong, too smart, too beautiful, too independent.

They say men feel intimidated by “too much”… so what are we supposed to do?

To smile and say yes all the time?

To make ourselves silly all the time?

To not voice ourselves?

I don’t understand… if we do all of the above, we’re dull, boring and uninteresting.

If we do speak up, we have a temper and are too strong…

There’s a balance for everything.

There’s a time for everything.

So I’m hopeful some day, someone will take the time and patience to uncover it all and understand that whatever strength, beauty, brains and independence can be part of them too.

I guess it will take a MAN to realize that it’s MINE but it becomes OURS.

I might even not be whole by myself but I sure make it a point of not limiting myself to half.

I rather become two as one.

And still, I’m half as one.

So if it’s too much, there’s nothing I can do.

I can’t make it lesser.

This is me.
