It’s hard work to put it to practice.
And even more since I can’t really define what it means to “want you”.
Especially when opposed to “want Him” or “want something”.
And even more when you loose track of yourself in the name of chasing something you believe in.
I respect going after what you want.
I respect chasing what feels true to your heart.
But I’m for chasing whatever feels right.
I mean fighting for someone, for instance. You can fight if there’s a margin for it.
Understanding and tolerance, yes.
Being there for support, absolutely.
But if that person is kicking you out, what else will you do?
Crawl at their feet to be stepped on?
So this is where I draw my thin line of love for other and love for myself.
I also think Love doesn’t make you beg.
It’s there to be given, appreciated and received by whom ever is ready for it.
It’s not meant to block you.
It’s not meant to play you.
On that note, I guess that’s what it means to “want you”.
When you become more than the victim, than the unhappy one, than the one longing for someone to make you happy.
No one can make you happy.
If you’re not your full self, there’s always something that will make you distrust, and therefore, not happy.
Let go of the frustration, of the fear of uncertainty.
Make the conscious effort to step away from what makes you feel small.
Own yourself more than you want to own anything else.
