Why are Men and Women so intrinsically different?

Men are from Mars and Women from Venus.

I now get this absolute truth.

Men want war, Women want love.

Men are Brain, Women are Heart.

Men take it as is, Women take it once they understand.

There’s an obvious deep gap between their brains and their languages.

Men fight for themselves, women fight for what they believe in.

They fight not with words, but with small gestures, with faith, understanding, forgiveness.

They fight until they understand their man doesn’t want to be fought for.

And that’s the only time they’ll stop.

It’s that resilience that makes them want to believe so much in some underlying hidden truth that finally makes them weak.

Or strong?

Who are we to judge what’s weak or strong?

Men see women as strong intangible dreams until they see it’s only real after all.

Until they break their walls.

And once their walls are broken, they’re vulnerable.

Their insecurities emerge.

They get attached.

They fear losing something that’s become so precious.

And because of that fear of loss, they hold on tight.

So the man feels suffocated.

He backs away to avoid the drama at any cost.

Better to avoid it than to break through it.

The more he steps away, the more she feels unwanted and undervalued, regretting ever having allowed him into her loving Venus universe.

She’s now questioning everything little thing he’s said and done.

While she needs a steady Man who understands her fears and soothes her, a confident, mature Man who’ll be there even in her weak moments with no judgement, he’s floating further and further away as the feelings aren’t enough to pull him through.

Maybe he’s the insecure one who can’t handle her vulnerability.

Maybe he’s not strong enough to go through the storm until the sun is shining again.

While she simply loves, while she values him as he is, in all his humanity – even warriors are fragile and cry at times – while she’s willing to hold his hand and just be there until he understands she’s not going anywhere, he’s scared it’s just too much.

He shuts down.

He can’t handle her humanity.

He wants her to be a warrior too.

And though she’s the warrior he’s seen, suddenly only the weakness comes through.

He forgets that if he doesn’t shut down, he’ll see the warrior he first met.

He will see the sexiness, the laughter, the attraction, the flirt, the lightness and how easy and comfortable everything was.

It’s all still there.

Both need to remember again and again that women are from Venus.

And Men are from Mars.

Why can’t they just meet half way, in this beautiful planet called Earth?
