Live and let live

Oh yes… I was guilty of this in the past.

I wanted someone to change the way they dressed because I didn’t relate it at all.

And he wanted me to lose weight and consider breast implants….

it wasn’t rocket science understanding clearly we weren’t meant to be and however it was a 5 years relationship.

So nowadays, whenever I have a date, I understand that if I would like that person to behave differently, dress differently, grow their hair, shave and so on… it’s because it’s just not the right fit.

And it’s hard letting go because you want to find someone so much…

You think that if you can get them to look and act the way you want, then it will be the right person… but if you feel like you need to change that person, then there’s no real connection… If there was a real connection, you wouldn’t pay attention to that.

It’s a matter of relating to each other and acknowledging that empathy or the lack of it.

Plus, if we don’t like it when other people try to change us, why would they like that we try to change them?

We are who we are… improve ourselves, absolutely!

Lose the extra weight because you’ll feel more confident, go for it!

Get a makeover that will enhance your natural beauty, go for it!

Go for anything that makes you feel better as long as you believe in it and in yourself!

So don’t try to shape others to you and don’t be shaped by others if it doesn’t please you.
