It’s Up to You

Life is the most precious gift we have.

It’s not always the way we dreamed of, it’s not in shades of blue and gold, not quite what you had envisioned for yourself. But… a life is still a life full of potential.

YOU are full of ideas, thoughts and goals.

You are worthy by who you are alone, not defined by being someone’s wife, daughter, sister, whatever.

You have inextricable value as an individual.

Of course, different people will add different things to who you are, making you sharper and more understanding.

But my point is, even if you’re alone, you still have a Life.

It’s up to you to make it useful somehow to someone (especially to yourself).

It’s up to you to ask for help if you can’t see your worth, if you can’t see a future, a way out.

You need to think of how you feel and act accordingly.

Don’t know how? Ask for help!

Once you get that help, you’ll be stronger, more at peace with yourself and the way life is.

Be strong and smart enough to move from victimization and self-commiseration to owning your responsibility in this life.

And then… then you can move on.

Then you can rise above the pain, above the disappointment, the sadness, the feeling of being utterly lost.

You rise as a confidant individual, ready to let go of the past, willing to look for the good things around you.

Ready to identify them as something truly good rather than something taken for granted.

Then you can let go of the rage, anger, fear or whatever/whoever made you smaller and hurtful.

Life is about LIVING.

Make it count.

Make your own positive statement.

Preferably with a smile on your face.

Make it your trademark.
