How often do we think of people we miss?
How many people have imprinted themselves in our heart and then left a big dark hole which used to be filled with golden light love?
A deep void and emptiness instead of that loud laughter and glittery eyes?
And still, how much do we want to tell them “I miss you”?
Just because we really do miss them.
Or the feeling they gave us.
One thing I can promise you… you’ll survive.
Your body keeps breathing and moving in a less wonderful world.
But since you’re still in it, it comes to a point when it’s up to you to make your world a bit brighter.
Slowly, one day at the time.
You put yourself out there.
And you start discovering a number of things.
One of them is that people don’t really talk much, other than the weather.
I wonder what would happen if people talked more, if that fear/insecurity boundary would dissipate?
Or maybe it isn’t really fear, maybe it’s just that everyone expects a certain behavior so they act accordingly.
It’s their shell and it can’t be touched.
How do we open our minds?
How do we find a common ground if people don’t lower their walls?
The magical art of communication can’t be that magical if everyone sees a barrier in it.
A conversation suddenly becomes a symbol of something complicated… it’s just so hard to find something new that your mind wanders back to the one you miss, when everything was so gorgeously simple.
Why can’t “I miss you” stand simply for what it means? Because they are powerful words full of meaning.
They can either open a conversation or close one.
It’s a full story summarized.
So we just keep it to ourselves.
