Breath Easy

How many times do you see yourself deeply engulfed in a situation which completely blind sights you?

You’re so wired living in a temporary bubble that you don’t really care about the outcome because you can only feel right here, right now.

Then finally you start settling down, cooling down… and thinking to yourself… let me step back here… what would I tell my friends if they were in this same situation?

How can I see this story from the outside as a viewer rather than the actress?

What would I interpret of it?

How would I envision the end of this movie?

What does my experience tell me?

What does my gut feeling tell me?

They tell you nothing just because you’re full on up in the clouds and there’s nothing you can see clearly.

Step back again.

What if it was happening to a friend and not you?

You finally start reasoning, deconstructing your crazy electricity, turning it to brain process.

Slowly you realize things.

Things you maybe didn’t want to see and especially didn’t want to feel.

You start reframing the whole thing.

And although you clearly know what you need to do, you just can’t.

It’s stronger than you.

Well I say You Can.

You might need help from friends, a therapist, alternative therapies, meditation, the gym, reading, going to the beach, you name it.

The fear of losing something that suddenly became so meaningful is too heavy.

So it’s not an immediate process.

You don’t snap your fingers and boom… done.

Pain is gone, memories are gone!

It’s not magic.

But it’s possible, one day at the time.

You’ll feel it a bit less and less as days go by.

And one day you’ll feel lighter.

As in light weight.

And you’ll feel the light switch on again. But for that to happen, you need to let go.

You need to release yourself from the fear, the insecurity.

You need to break from what makes you numb.

And grow strong again.

Reposition yourself right where you belong: to your energetic, beautiful, full of sunshine bubble.

It takes time.

But you’ll get there.
